Summer Swap!!!

I'm so excited! I got my Summer Swap package from the lovely Angela over at The Bona Fide Preppy Bride. I loved it! The purpose of the Summer Swap is to send a blogging world partner a package with summery items representing each letter of the word summer (in case you didn't know).

I was busy packing last night and watching the LOST finale (finally, a year later we find out who was in that coffin! But I have so many questions... How did Locke get off the island? How did he die? Why did he go by a fake name... though I assume it was so no one would know he was from the flight. Why do the feel like they have to go back?!!)... so I didn't have time to really get a lot of good pictures of each item, but I hope these will show everything off well.

Here are all the gifts with their letter lables. How cute!

One of my favorites is M for Margaritas! She sent these cute wine bottle markers, margarita salt and a margarita rimmer set. I actually don't have a rimmer or salt, so this was perfect! And the wine bottle markers will be adorable on the blue bottles of Relax I like to keep around.

Tucker of course had to see what all the fuss was about and spent some time sniffing around all of the presents! He also liked playing with the ribbons that had been on the items.

S is for Something to keep coins and stuff in at the pool. (Notice the brightly colored coin pouch near Tucker's tail - it's adorable and will be put to good use!)

U is for Use these pads to write down summer plans. She sent two cute memo pads! I love such things.

M is for Margaritas! (See above)

M is for Matthews, Dave Matthews. We discovered we're both DMB fans, and she sent this blue DMB bag. I'll definitely use it to carry magazines to the pool!

E is for Exercise. She sent this awesome water bottle that I'll definitely use at the gym! I realized that it's odd that I didn't already have something like this, so it was a perfect gift.

R is for Rubber Duckie! (See below)

Another favorite was R is for Rubber Duckie! She found this cute basket of bath items including a rubber duck! (My bathroom is done in rubber ducks. Mature, I know. But it's so bright and cheerful!) The thing that kind of made me laugh about this gift is that a friend of mine had given me a boy bunny duck a while back, so now I have a girl bunny duck to go with it!

Angela was super sweet and even sent a little summery something for Tucker! It's hard to get pictures of him playing with things (he's so fast), but here's one of him while he tossed around his new red anchor catnip toy! I realize it's on the floor, but he had just been throwing it up in the air and chasing it.

Girl, thank you SO SO much for all of the items. I seriously loved it all, and this package was a nice little summer kick-off for me!

My package should be making its way to her, so I hope she likes everything! It was really fun going to pick out cute summery items to send!

In other news, I am kicking off my summer travels TODAY. I'll be heading out in a few hours after work with my mom and sister to go to Gatlinburg for the weekend! We'll definitely be hitting up the outlets (fingers crossed I find a summer purse and some new tops, and maybe a dress!). There's also a huge scrapbook store to check out, and I am going to drag them to do a little hiking in the mountains. A Gatlinburg trip wouldn't be complete without having blueberry pancakes, so we'll do that! I also hope to get to use my new camera some while we're there so that I feel sure about how to use it when I go to Boston next weekend!

Have a great weekend, and I'll let you know how vacation 1 goes when I return!

I am so so so glad you love your package!!!! I was stressed that the Rubber Duckie had bunny ears, but she was the cutest one I could find! I am really excited for my package! And also... seriously.. LOCKE?!?!?! I was not expecting that! I think he will turn out like Christian Shepherd and be "alive" again on the island. I really couldnt believe that one! Ok back to work for me.. enjoy your Summer goodies!

I love scrapbooking! A big scrapbooking store (that isn't a chain craft store) would be heaven for me.
