My female readers everywhere (and I have a feeling that's like 98% of you) and maybe even some of my male readers might just gasp at what I'm about to say.

I rarely accessorize. Exercise? That I can and often do. But when it comes to pairing up all sorts of cute accessories with what I'm wearing, I find that I'm not very adept at it. So I usually skip that part.

Every now and then I'll be wearing something and if I see my mom, she'll make a comment about needing "a pretty little necklace" or point out that my purse doesn't match.

Don't get me wrong. I think I am a fairly put together kind of person and that I sport reasonably attractive outfits that flatter me. However, I'm just not usually concerned past the point of making sure I'm dressed in something that looks good.

Jewelry? I usually only wear a sports watch. The only thing I can imagine wearing regularly will be a engagement/wedding ring. I suppose if I worked in more of an office environment, I'd be more inclined to wear more jewelry, but it'd be superfluous here at the cabinet shop. I always figure that if a boyfriend gave me something, I'd of course wear it most of the time, but I'm presently without one so my neck, earlobes, wrists and fingers remain fairly naked. I try to throw on something when I'm dressed for an evening with friends or a date or something. Earrings are usually my staple.

Purses? Oh, don't get me started. I hate purses. If I could get by without carrying a purse, I would. This is, however, usually impossible. I have a tendency to find a purse I like and carry it for MONTHS. I usually only switch purses if I'm going out one night and want a smaller bag.

As I've gotten older and bought nicer clothes, I have started to recognize that accessorizing can add a nice touch. I doubt I'll ever become a professional accessorizer, but I have been making more of an effort outside of work (because seriously... a pony tail holder that's not black is about as good as it's going to get for work).

The biggest problem is that I don't enjoy shopping for accessories. I don't like to buy then unless I can wear/use them with a LOT and if they're reasonably priced. When I determine I actually really NEED something, it's always a challenge to find what I'm looking for.

What I'm leading up to aside from sharing my feelings about accessorizing is that I found the perfect clutch/wristlet purse. I realized when I went out with my sis on her bday that I only have one small bag, but it's actually too small. No one wants to carry a full purse when you're going downtown and dancing. Mine got in the way ALL night.

Then I found it. I wasn't even looking for it. I just walked into Target and it was looking right at me... for $19.99. I can fit my id/credit card holder, phone, keys, camera and chapstick in with ease. It's ideal. I bought it in a color that will go with everything.

I love it when accessories are made easy. This fit the bill. Find it at your local Target or here. It comes in several colors, but I got the metallic because I figure it goes with most of the kind of clothes I wear.

Very cute purse!

I am the same way. I have my wedding set and that is all. Occasionally I will add my pearl earrings, but that's about it. "Accessorize more" is usually one of my New Year's resolutions. There is a website ( that has wicked cheap stuff. I don't know that it is the best quality, but it is wicked cheap and very trendy.
