I ordered this book today.
It's not that I'm seriously thinking about a BQ right now. But it's always in the back of my head. I have a long way to go (ahem, as in shaving off 50 minutes from my best marathon), but a girl can dream big and go after it.
I figure that if I've got at least 3 more weeks on these darn crutches, I might as well spend some time reading. And if I'm going to be reading, why not read a book that is going to inspire me to make the most of my legs once I get them back and go after my goals?
So that's the plan. Heck. Yes.

Hoorah for Boston! You'll get there.
yayy the boston marathon starts in my hometown!! It definitely has a special place in my heart. :)
What an excellent way to help you stay motivated and focused even if you can't run! I think that someday you will BQ!!
Yay! what a great book! :) Way to stay motivated and keep after it even when your laid up! You'll do great once you return.
Melanie,
Please tell me what you think of this book. Sounds like a good read. I have a goal of Boston some year myself. Got within 28 minutes last year but that is still over 1 minute per mile.
Take it easy now so you can start up again soon.
Can't wait to hear what you think of this book! I'm way too slow for Boston right now, but maybe someday?
Make sure you post a review!
Keep getting healthy, girl!
That book looks awesome - I haven't seen it before! I'm off to request it at the library :)
