Back in the South

I'm back!

Of course, you're going to have to be patient and wait for me to share all about my fantastic (and cold and snowy!) weekened in Chicago. I promise to share a few details and pictures soon.

For now, I'm back in the south. It's surprisingly not much warmer, but we don't have any snow. I am so ready for spring it's not even funny. I want to wear t-shirts. I want to wear sandals. I want to run outside in shorts.

The good news is that it's sunny in these parts today, including my own personal disposition. I'm feeling pretty happy these days.

I took time off from much exercise while I was out of town, but I did walk around the city a lot and managed to make my left leg really sore. The good thing is that I don't feel any sort of pain or discomfort where my injury was... the soreness is totally just the rest of my leg trying to get used to all the activity and regain its strength. I'll take it, but at the same time I'm ready for it to go on and catch up.

I'm playing a little catch up myself... I have exciting plans tonight involving unpacking and laundry and tidying up the house. I'm hoping to work in a Shred workout with Jillian Michael's as well. I need to start using it more often. My tummy is ready to get some of its firmness back!

I'll be back for real when I catch up other things in my life. Stayed tuned... I got some great photos on my trip to share!

Welcome back, Mel! I hope you had fun in Chicago despite the snow & cold. Can't wait for the recap!

I hear ya on firming up the tummy! I used to have such a tight & strong core that has gone soft on me since my injury. I can't wait to firm it up again!

Only 13 more days til I can try to run again- oh noooooo!!
