It's Official

I'm running in the Chicago Marathon with 44,999 (assuming it sells out, like it always does) people who are crazy/insane/smart/passionate/self-disciplined enough to run 26.2 miles in a big city.

And I couldn't be more excited.

It's hard to remember that the race is 8 freaking months away. I can't even book my airfare yet.

I go back for my final check-up with the doc on Wednesday, so I should be able to develop a game plan of how to slowly but surely start running again. I've got plenty of time, so I'm going to do it right.

Look out Chicago... here I come.

(In other news, I finally broke down and went to the doctor. I've had a sinus infection this whole week. I got some good meds, and today I finally feel a little bit better. It is due to said sinus infection that I've felt generally crappy and avoided much quality blogging the past few days. However, there are things to be excited about now that I'm almost back to running, so please stay tuned...)
