The Perfect 5K Playlist

So I'm running a 5K tonight.

I haven't really made a big deal about it because as you all know, I'm not really a fan of 5Ks. However, I figure it's good to do one on occasion, and they take the place of a week's speed workout quite nicely.

I ran this one last year, too, and won my age group... so I feel like I kind of have to go run it again and see what happens.  I never even place in my age group and it was a total shock to win last year so I'm not letting myself expect that I'll win again... but I'm still going to try and place. :)

I just created what I think will be the perfect playlist for the race:

You Give Love a Bad Name - Bon Jovi
Ramalama (Bang Bang) - Roisin Murphy
Extreme Ways - Moby (this is the theme song for the Bourne movies)
Shake Me Like a Monkey - Dave Matthews Band
Paint It, Black - The Rolling Stones
In the End - Linkin Park
Let It Rock - Kevin Rudolph and Lil Wayne

This SHOULD be enough to keep me entertained for about a minute longer than I anticipate running the race in... it better be anyways!

I'll be back soon to let you know how it goes.

It's nice to know that you have 6-7 songs and your are done! This is one of the few nice things about 5Ks - they are short. Good luck! Ana-Maria

Have you heard Bleed it Out by Linkin Park? We always used that to pump us up for flag football games.

A fave Linkin Park tune for my playlists is Numb. Or try Numb Encore with LP and Jay Z

I just added a bunch of new songs including Black Eye Peas and Linkin Park's new song and LOVE it all. Music realy makes the run go faster.
