Fearless

Please tell me you're watching the winter Olympics.

I have to be honest... I've never really watched them in previous years other than to catch a little bit of the women's figure skating here and there.

However, I can't seem to keep my eyes off the tv in the evenings right now. The skiing, the snowboarding, the speed skating... it's all just blowing my mind!

The more I watch, the more I become sure of one thing... to be a summer Olympian is pretty cool and requires a ton of hard work. I think the same is true for winter Olympians, but I think they require something a little extra than those in the summer sports - they have to be FEARLESS.

Can you believe some of the falls we've seen? Can you imagine what would happen if they fell during some of the tricks they're doing? I always find myself holding my breath a bit when they fly up in the air or something.

Anyways, if you're not watching, I just wanted to say that you should. I've been blown away!

ME TOO! Also, I definitely have to dress up like Shaun White for Halloween... our similarities are uncanny. Also it makes me sad that his hair is longer than mine.

Anyway. Yes. Winter Olympics. Obsessed.

I am watching EVERY night. There are a lot of the athletes from WI so close to home. Also training at the Pettit at times, I get to see some of the speed skaters. I even ran a little bit once with Shani Davis at Pettit, a real nice guy.

And wasn't Shawn White AMAZING last night?!?!

I was watching the Women's downhill last night where Lindsey Vonn won on Wednesday night (i had it taped) and i could not believe all the falls! The one girl fell like 10 feet from the start! It was insane!

I haven't kept up with Winter Olympics in the past besides figure skating either. I've found that since I've become a runner, I've been feeling so much worse for the falls and spills. I guess now I know what's like to train and then lose it all in a second!

The Winter Olympics make me awe-struck. I only have seen what I'm able to watch online, as I don't have a television, but sheesh! Talk about some dedicated athletes, huh?
