Quick Marathon Report

So I ran a marathon on Sunday in San Francisco... one that I had intentions of training for, but life got in the way and I showed up at the start line in half marathon shape.

All in all, I think I did well.

4:53:32

I've run 2 other marathons that I actually trained well for in slower times than that.

4155 out of 5955 runners.
1244 out of 2054 women.
271 out of 438 in the 25-29 women's group.

I was pretty pleased. It goes to show that running a marathon really is a lot mental. Of course, had I trained better, my time would have been better... but still! All things considered, I think it turned out better than I expected.

I'm not any more sore or exhausted than I normally am after a marathon. I'm definitely moving around slowly, and my knees and ankles are less than thrilled when I do. I almost cried trying to go down the stairs this morning, and I'm thankful for an elevator at work. I also feel like I could sleep all day, and I still feel like I'm starving all the time.

Great job! I think that time ain't half bad girlie. ESPECIALLY since you hand minimum training!!
