Father's Day Weekend 2017

We had a pretty low key Father's Day weekend this year compared to the last two that we spent on a beach somewhere. This year we decided to do a little trip with Connor during the week after Father's Day, so we hung around town and took it easy for the holiday weekend in preparation for going out of town.

On Friday, we found a snake stuck in one of our bug traps in the garage. Adam won Father of the Year award for getting it out and released back into the woods.

On Saturday, we spent the day with family at one of their homes. The weather was great, so after lunch we spent all afternoon in the pool. Connor had a blast, and it was good to spend some time with my dad and give him his card and gift.

On Father's Day, we went to a new breakfast spot in town and had a bite to eat before a big storm rolled in. We enjoyed watching some tv and taking naps on the couch during the rain, and we ended the evening with dinner at Famous Dave's since Adam wanted some BBQ.

Connor was really excited to give him the card he picked out and his gift - the Davie Matthews Band concert at Red Rocks in 1995 on vinyl!

All in all, Adam said he enjoyed the weekend of having lots of time to relax along with a few treats!
